Julie Bruns, BSN, CNHP, ADHP, RN
Julie is a graduate of St. Cloud Hospital School of Nursing achieving a diploma in nursing, then furthered her education with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at The College of St. Scholastica. She has had experience in Orthopedic, Neurology, ICU, CCU, Medical/Surgical, Occupational Health, Rehabilitation, Mental Health, and Long Term Care nursing. She has also served as adjunct faculty for Practical Nursing students. Current certifications include Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP), Therapeutic Life Style Educator Certification, Advanced Digestive Health Professional (ADHP), Board Certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse, and Level III Healing Touch.
Julie now combines her knowledge of both traditional and integrative health education and experience to bridge the gap and assist you to find the underlying root cause of your symptoms. Like a sleuth, she goes over, around, under, and through to find answers. She listens, assesses, then provides you a personal plan to restore good health. Julie will teach you how your body works in a way you may never have known—mind, body, and soul.
Natural and Digestive Health utilizes unique assessment tools, whole food supplementation, homeopathy, First Line Therapy (FLT), 24 hour Uninalysis, Homestatic Digestive Palpation Test, and Bioimpedance Analysis (BIA). Neurotransmitter testing, parasite testing, special labs, and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis may also be necessary.
Julie has hosted several all-day seminars in Glenwood MN, been a key note speaker, guest speaker, and lecturer. She is available at the workplace for Lunch and Learns, or for longer education sessions on digestion, the stress response, good gut flora, and diligence in self-care practices. She is a member of the Institute of Functional Nutrition, American Holistic Nurses Association, the Academy of Integrative Health & Medicine (AIHM), and the American Psychiatric Nursing Association.
